Independence from Meta

Here I am (wearing a moon phases stole I made) outside of The Neighborhood in Bath prior to a Solar Playback performance in June. Declaring independence from these online platforms means more time for connection in community, social dates at our condo with friends, and in-person events like this one. Real conversations in real time with real people.

This July 4th I am declaring my independence from Meta. Meta is the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. After 16 years on Facebook, I can no longer stomach participating in a system that takes so little responsibility for the destructive forces it enables globally.

This decision is not without risk. As an independent contractor and self-employed professional, I have relied in part on these platforms to help get the word out about my services and events.

That’s where you, dear reader, come in.

Your sharing this website with your colleagues, friends and family members means you are helping others find my services and plug in to the online and in-person events I offer weekly.

NOW MORE THAN EVER, I am asking you to reach out to a friend and share with them why you find it worthwhile to subscribe to my e-newsletter, to attend my movement classes, to participate in Solar Playback online and in-person, to receive coaching with me.

Now more than ever I am asking for your hand in helping me get the word out about who I am and what I offer.

If you are currently debating a decision internally and would like a thought-partner to talk through an upcoming transition, reach out and schedule some time with me here. I’m happy to listen and to share my experience when asked.

Here’s to real conversations in real time with real people!
