How we listen

I’m honored to be partnering with the Boston Facilitators Roundtable to offer a virtual interactive workshop using Playback to explore through practice how we listen. As one of the organizers wrote on LinkedIn:

We often ask team members to practice active listening, and to "listen beneath the words". What if they could actually show what they heard — through metaphor, movement, image, sound, or song?

Join us on JULY 21, 4:30pm, virtually for:
HONORING STORIES THROUGH PLAYBACK

We're excited to have Erin Curren, PhD, NCC™, solo Playback improviser, to present an engaging program of true storytelling by participants and Playback improvisation by Erin.

In this interactive session, we will use deep listening combined with creative honoring, using metaphor, embodiment, song, and more.

Come for the playback; stay to practice personal creative expression!

In preparation for this event, a few of us gathered online to record a sample Playback, something I never do! A small portion of the result can be seen (edited) below. [If you don’t see a video below, please refresh your browser or click here.]

Please share this opportunity to engage with one’s own listening and creative expression with those in your circles. All are welcome. Click the button below to access the independent registration page.

I hope you’ll join us!
