Join us over Zoom for the first monthly performance of 2026 on the theme of “Dormant” Monday, January 12th from 6-7:15pm ET.
According to Oxford Languages, “dormant” means:
–(of an animal) having normal physical functions suspended or slowed down for a period of time; in or as if in a deep sleep.
–temporarily inactive or inoperative.
When have you taken the time and space to be ‘inactive’ in your own life? What did that look and feel like for you? Was it something you chose or were you forced into inactivity by circumstances beyond your control?
How did you know you were in a period of dormancy?
What does the opposite feel and look like? In other words, when have you neglected or denied the need for rest, and what resulted?
What has a period of slowed or suspended functionality made possible for you?
Are you currently in a dormant stage in a certain area of your life? How so?
What does nature teach you about rest?
